hopped the little fence when the security guard went outside for a smoke. the kitchen is right on the other side of the wall to the right and I was thirsty. some chef looking guy asked me what I was doing there and I just said I was the new dishwasher and that I was early. he said ok. (? no one was there and they had just closed) got a coke and walked out.

we are supposed to have a fast and furious marathon 1 through 5 once we get to chandlers this weekend. unreal.

the end of my thumb off. took a good hunk of nail with it. I would not recommend it. frustrating 24 hours for sure. hopefully this afternoon solves some problems. at least I got the day off to dress my wounds.

homework

my classmate allison and I had to go visit the easy end to take pictures of some civil war earthworks in time to talk about them this wednesday for our cultural resources management class (archaeology and shit) and made a few pit stops while we were out. our friends ness and chelsea tagged along for the entertainment value, and ness drove my car because the rest of us wanted to drink beer the whole time. the goal was to go visit elko tract aka the lost city of richmond, evergreen cemetery (thank you emily for directions) which unfortunately for the unspeakable dead at rest has gone completely to shit, and of course the project itself. conveniently they are all within a couple miles of each other.

we tooled around at two earthworks, stopped at a church for the sake of shotgunning beers on church grounds and looking for a cross to steal (no dice) We didnt quite make it to elko, we saw the water tower but didnt get inside the quote unquote city, and it was too dark for decent pictures. instead we found some equipment on a lot on technology drive and played with their fire extinguishers. then we went to evergreen and roamed the place for a bit. all in all a good class field trip. it wasnt super badass but lots of beer and fast driving and exploration.

and the humble little stone fire pit did ok, I just scavenged stones and brick and cement and cinder from the alley and rustled up some wood. the fuzz came but we took care of dat shit.

not introverted or antisocial (contrary to massive popular belief), Id just much rather chill and do tight stuff with people I know well, than stare at myself in the mirror for too long, go get awkward and hammered, and ruin some randos house or bar. (most of the time)

built a fire pit in ness and the twinks back yard a-la wolak, we will see if it will actually breathe and work. cookin food chillen hard movies brews(lokos) back yards and getting into things we arent supposed to. its like the fast and furious house without the civics and supras. (yet)

NYC next friday to sunday. road trip 2 for the fit, though significantly shorter than the last. car is much fuller though.
